Today I discovered my favourite place in all of Switzerland.
From here you can see the lake, France, the vegetation on the hill below, and watch the people walking around.
I was perfectly content sitting on that bench looking at all these things and soaking up the beauty and the serene sentiment of it all. I sat there and read the book that is slowly changing my life and felt so much peace and happiness. The sun broke through the clouds for a few minutes and it felt like the sunbeam was shining only on me. I don’t know what it is about water—whether it be the ocean, the sea, the lake, or the river—but it is always so fulfilling to be near it.
At this moment, I felt one with nature. I felt like everything was in perfect harmony. Tears came to my eyes as I felt this overwhelming peace and joy within me.
I have found the perfect place for when I am feeling down and need a happy place to escape to. It is a place of love, peace, and serenity.

- student: can i borrow a pencil
- teacher: i don't know, CAN you?
- student: yes, also colloquial irregularities occur frequently in any language and since you and the rest of our present company understood my intended meaning being particular about the distinctions between "can" and "may" is purely pedantic and arguably pretentious
